      To make your browser always start in private or incognito mode. Waterfox & firefox

      address bar = about:config

      search = browser.privatebrowsing.autostart;false Change false to true . (When waterfox starts : show your windows and tabs from last time. (Will no longer work)

          If you want to have the best of both worlds, what I do is have a menu entry (or you could do so with a hotkey) for launching firefox in private mode, so that doesn’t affect any of the saved tabs in the non-private (normal) mode.
          The command to launch firefox-esr in private mode (as you all probably know) is:
          firefox-esr --private-window
          You can also use the run function or the terminal if you dislike launch icons.
