New day, new ‘Linux mystery’ to get solved … ;)

And yes, it’s still my ‘Devuan Ice WM’ experiment, it’s NOT antiX.

Screenshot 1 shows the pnmixer volume icon and startup script upon start with Ice WM 1.3.8.

Screenshot 2 shows the pnmixer volume icon and startup script upon start with Ice WM 1.4.2.

Screenshot 3 shows the same like 2, but it shows what happens if some other application/icon is loading AFTER the pnmixer.

      With other words:

Whenever pnmixer is the last loaded icon, it’ll show too small (1/4 size) in Ice WM 1.4.2. It used to work properly (show full size icon) in Ice WM 1.3.8.

Anybody any suggestions on how to keep the pnmixer beeing the last icon in row, but make it finish loading the icon?

The icon itself is obviously not the problem.

      Thanks!

We had this with volumeicon (IIRC) and found it was caused by gtk3.
antiX uses an old gtk2 version of volumeicon.

So latest icewm doesn’t play well with gtk3 (not a surprise since gtk3 devs are constantly breaking themes etc).

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Well then … then the icon order has to be changed, so the NW opens after volume.
I wanna keep pnmixer while it uses the same icon in icewm like default in xfce.
          Thx for the answer.
