Strange LibreOffice beahviour under antix 19, 64 bits (updated to the latest version):
1- LibreOffice (the version installed by default) out of the blue stopped running. Trying “libreoffice” or “libreoffice –writer” from the terminal did not produce any output. The cursor just remained blinking, the disk led lighted up a couple of times then nothing.
I’m a heavy appimage intusiast, so, no problem. I began using the latest appimage of LibreOffice 6.4.3.2, fully localized, out-of-the-box, to my language (portuguese). I even installed the Language Tool 4.8 extension, and it ran perfectly there.
Problem 1: running LO via appimage- most of the menu entries are greyed out, but everything runs fine from the “Ribbon” interface!2- I tried to re-installing LO from Control Center and I decided, if I was going to do it, I may as well install the latest full version available. Did that, installed also pt_pt language pack, rebooted, and LO Writer run fine.
Problem 2: trying to install Language Tool 4.8 in the “installed” LibreOffice v. 6.4.4~rc1-1~bpo10+1 causes a instalation error: “(com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException) {{ Message=”JNI exception occurred”, Context=(com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) ” 7fa2fc0050f8 (ImplementationNAme=”com.sun.star.com.stoc.JavaVirtualMachine”)}}
Problem 3: possibly connected to this? – No extentions show up in the extension manager (no spell checking extention, nothing…)This is, by no means, a major problem, and I’m not even certain if it’s a antiX, LO, or a “Language Tool” related situation
Any suggestions? (I tried searching the forum for “libreoffice” and also googling this JNI error, without success)
Thanks in advance for any replies!P.

::Hi PPC,
My guess is on point 1 the config or restore was broken, had a similar issue, was able to start
from console with the –norestore flag. Cleanup in home fixed that, just removed all LO related
in home config then let LO recreate configuration.On Language tool that will not work for me either, have tried a lot of things including installing
java from Oracle without success, in the end gave up. LO can see java so I think the problem is
within Language tool which maybe needs some work from its developers.To get the extensions working I just had to remove the failed to install language tool plugin.
