Suggested Review of .desktop File Translations

I start this topic motivated by Wallon’s words in another topic

In summary, in the icewm menu, we don’t know what the “Debinstaller” program does. It would be nice to put all languages ​​with the lines “Name[de]=…” or “Name[fr_BE]=…” or “Name[nl]=…” or “Name[it]=…” and an explanation in each language (like in the “Comment” lines).

I would like to remind you of another important work related to .desktop files, it is the antix-desktop-files file that is available in Tranisfex antix-contribs.

I leave some questions/suggestions about what will be the best path that we can follow to make better use of translations and still allow more languages ​​to benefit.

1 – Copy the .desktop files from GitLab that are not already in the antix-desktop-files file to Transifex?

2 – Add to the .desktop files of the Transifex antix-desktop-files file the entries “GenericName=”, “Comment=” of the application programs that do not have these entries?

3 – Give the necessary permissions for editing or correcting .desktop files directly in GitLab antix-contribs to translators who are frequent participants of this forum?

4 – We need to organize ourselves to create methodologies that can make better use of the qualities and contributions of people interested in helping in the constant improvement of antiX (developers, programmers and translators).

5 – The antiX online translator channel can be used to streamline communication due to the automatic translation feature that benefits communication between people who are not fluent in other languages, especially English. For example, I…

Aproveito para lembrar de um outro importante trabalho relacionado aos arquivos .desktop, trata-se do arquivo antix-desktop-files que está disponível no Tranisfex antix-contribs.

Deixo algumas perguntas/sugestões sobre qual será o melhor caminho que podemos seguir para um melhor aproveitamento das traduções e ainda de permitir que mais idiomas possam ser beneficiados.
