As the end-of-support date for antiX-17 approaches, I want to express my appreciation of it. For several years it has been the perfect OS for my travel/reading netbook, booting from an encrypted live flash drive with persistence.

For long-term security, I reluctantly upgraded to 21 and replicated my familiar system without too much work. Like 17, 21 works perfectly, so I’m all set for another 5 years, provided the decrepit netbook and its owner hold out.

Fond goodbye to antiX-17 and many thanks to the developers for a great OS.
