The freedom of choice

Hello antiXers! Been distrohopping for a life, trying every possible systemd-free distro but always ended up disappointed. I am trying Antix because I want to feel the freedom to control my system, getting rid of the systemd domination. However, many distros are heavily dependent on elogind and have dropped consolekit, while Antix gives me the chance to try and that’s what makes Antix stand out.

Welcome, wastelander

I’ve been on antiX for some years now I stick with it not because I really do care about technical details, like init launchers, etc, but because it’s light, fast and runs well even in a 32bits laptop.
It’s also very customizable- if you don’t like the default looks
With a couple of small apps you can add all the functionality you want, or install huge beasts like GIMP, etc…
It has a simple, but efficient Package Installer
You can take a look at some sticky posts to get your bearings, if you are not used to our window managers / file managers, etc… If you don’t like the default file manager, antiX 19 also comes with Spacefm, and antiX 21 with zzzfm…
