I’ve just installed Timeshift on antix-full 19.4, using the terminal.
and it now appears under the icewm menu, navigating as follows –> Applications –> System –> Timeshift.

However, when I click on it in the menu, the Timeshift app doesn’t open at all.
I would have thought the Desktop link would have been automatically created
      during the app’s installation ?

      How can I fix this?

Timeshift expects policykit (not completely configured by default in antiX) instead of gksudo for launching as user:

        You either
        A) Edit the Exec command for timeshift .desktop (to Exec=gksudo timeshift-gtk)
        B) Remove policykit-1 package
        C) Install and enable policykit-1-gnome
