      Tried to use “Timeshift” application for automatic backups in my quest to fix problem between Firejail and Pulseaudio.

      After installing from Synaptic, does not open – no GUI.

      Could not find information regarding this in searches.

      It does however, run in Terminal – ‘timeshift-gtk’ and GUI appears.

      Is there some other way to access it directly from the menu app icon?

      Thank you.

        Did you find an answer?

        In fluxbox it is easy to add an entry to the personal menu (or the main menu if you wish).
        [exec] (Timeshift) {timeshift-gtk}
        I believe you can do the same in icewm from the control-center.

          You could use the Edit Menus app found in the Maintenance section of the control centre.

          We even have a video: Edit menus

          antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

            I don’t use it but does it ask for password when you use it from terminal?
            Maybe it is a policy kit issue that will not allow you to run it within your environment without proper rights. Is there a group for timeshift? Is there a daemon that needs to be started for timeshift to work?
