What is the nature of today’s upgrade of runit files?
Runit-antix and runit-init-antix have been upgraded from version 2.1.2-43antix3 to 2.1.2-54antix1.

Is this the fallback to sysvinit mix of routines for shutdown processes?
Thanks in any case. I am confident the strategy is the right one…

This is simply to keep up with the version in Debian bookworm.
Otherwise we end up with antiX runit with getty-run from Debian bookworm.
        Nothing else has changed

        runit (2.1.2-54.0antix1) unstable; urgency=medium
          * bump version to track Debian

For the runit scripts, those using beta3 will still use the ‘experimental’ set up.
For those using beta2, beta1 and for the final release, the new runit scripts (lower version than in beta3) have some initial attempts to clean up core runit scripts.

        runit-full-core-services-antix (0.1.3.1) unstable; urgency=medium
          * first attempt to clean up core scripts
        runit-core-services-antix (0.1.8) unstable; urgency=medium
          * first attempt to clean up core scripts

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

          I see. Thank you…
I am using runit-full-core-services-antix version 0.1.4, instead of 0.1.3.1 in sid now. No issues other than previously discussed missing shutdown routines.

Thank you olsztyn for asking the question.
Thanks to anticapitalista, runit is under control.
            I now also have runit-full-core-services-antix version 0.1.3.1.
