I am trying to install Transmission and get the message that package is defect.
Is that true?
Is there a trick to know?

Thank you for the reply. I didn’t have any look at them. I did the installation while I was in Athens. It was a Testing installation from the very beginning.

1: deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ stretch-updates main contrib non-freeAnd this is the different one between yours and mine.
The last two ones only use different server. If I had done the installation from Germany (where I am right now) they would probably look the same like yours.

It seems transmission depends on transmission-gtk , -qt or -cli , which depend on libcurl3
libcurl3 isn’t available in time in the testing-repos
You could have a look at qbittorrent and install it

I just tried to install Transmission and it wants to delete several other packages. Pls. see attachment.

The nosystemd version of transmission-gtk , transmission-cli and transmission-qt still depend on libcurl3 (testing-repos)
whereas the systemd versions depend on libcurl4anticapitalista
I rebuilt a new set of systemd-free debs for transmission. They should hit the repos soon. Hopefully it fixes this problem.
