      1. I don’t use and never used any Epson printer/scanner — I have 0 (zero) experience with Epson.

      2. I have a very strong feeling that you need to reconnect your printer/scanner to WiFi first because, you wrote yourself that you got another gateway.
(At least, whenever I changed my Canon printer/scanner and SOME gateway combinations, I had to reset & reconnect.)

All I can offer you is: google.com/ncr or bing.com and:

kaye , we solved to install iscan-bundle to your laptop successfully, why shouldn’t it be possible to do the same with your desktop and printer(Epson L210)

I assume you downloaded the iscan-bundle and tried both methods, installing the debian-packages with the dpkg-command or gdebi,
and as well you tried to install it with the install.sh
Could you post the error-messages you get ?

For the wifi problem (epson L355), you maybe have to reset your printer-wifi and afterwards newly connect it to the router.
The above youtube-video shows how to install the printer on windows(I don’t know what this is about.),
here’s one how to reset your wifi on the printer itself.

          Post #22341:

I don’t know what this is about.

I don’t know why I’m not surprised to hear such statement. 🙂

          Post #21947:

… you could install arp-scan and search the ip with sudo arp-scan --localnet

          Post #21959:

Right now the printer cannot connect to the Gateway.

          Post #22068:

This ip-address is not showing in arp-scan. Is this normal? It only shows my mobile phone ip-address and I guess the gateway.

          Post #22075:

          RTFM

          arp-scan … check the screenshots. 😉

Since EVERYBODY on this planet has a Windows (be it installed, be it laying in a drawer on a DVD/USB or in a Virtual Machine), it just makes sense that one uses what works.
(Who doesn’t have a license, it can easily get Windows 10 Enterprise 90-days Trial, so — no excuse for not having it. Having a copy of Windows is something essential.)

Those who don’t have Windows will have a Mac.
And all of them will have either iOS or Android too …
One could use official Epson App and check if it connects.
Usually, one can check the other settings/parameters inside of the App too.
Last but not least, if one needs to scan the Network neighborhood, one could use Fing.
There are many other similar Apps available for Android, iOS, Mac and Windows so, take what works!

caprea, I’ve finally solved the scanning problem.

But first of all, apologies for making this thread confusing. I should have made two threads, one for Epson L210 (Image Scan / iscan problem) , and one for Epson L355 (wifi problem).

Anyway, I can now use Image Scan (iscan) with Epson L210.

I think it may have something to do with a few tips provided here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SANE

            1. Edited /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf by adding the line:
            usb 0x04b8 0x08a1

            2. Uncommented all Epson or Epson-related entries in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf EXCEPT epkowa. Also uncommented net.

            3. Created /etc/udev/rules.d/49-sane-missing-scanner.rules
with the following line in it:
            ATTRS{idVendor}==”04b8″, ATTRS{idProduct}==”08a1″, MODE=”0664″, GROUP=”scanner”, ENV{libsane_matched}=”yes

That’s about it. Not sure if plugging out and back in the scanner helped after these steps, but I am now able to use iscan with Epson L210 connected to desktop computer via cable.

Now I’m going to reset the L355 printer wifi.

            Be back soon.

Wow, you pretty much fiddled around.
We should remember your solution if someone has similar problems.
The main thing is that you didn’t give up, you trusted in linux and antiX, nice !

noClue, I regret that I barely looked into your post #22266. That video was exactly what I needed.

                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg1B1MjPSik

The only thing I didn’t like about it was that I had to use Windows. But, whatever works. At least it was a one-time thing only – use Windows to set up wireless connection and you won’t ever have to go back to it, unless you change your gateway again. I am now able to use Epson L355 to scan wirelessly (over wifi) using both Simple Scan and Image Scan (iscan) in my antiX 64-bit system.

Also, for the sake of other people who may need it, the installer for my Epson L355 (three-five-five) can be downloaded here:

                https://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/3787/

                or maybe here:

                https://www.epson-middleeast.com/products/printers/inkjet-printers/for-home/ecotank-l355-meafis#drivers

I was using Windows 7, 32-bit, and the installer that I used was epson378777eu.exe

Also, in your antiX system, after Print Settings has detected your wireless printer, you may need to edit /etc/sane.d/epkowa.conf by adding this line:

                net XXX.XXX.X.X

so you can print and scan over wifi.

The X’s represent your printer’s ip address. You should see it by installing nmap and executing this line:

                sudo nmap -sP 192.168.1.0/24

                It should yield, among others:

                Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.5
                Host is up (0.12s latency).
                MAC Address: AC:13:25:07:B9:98 (Seiko Epson)

Or you can go to Print Settings, right-click on the printer and click Properties. Look at Device URI.

My antiX system is now complete. Thanks guys!!!

I‘m happy you found a working solution.
