I have set it to execute and even went into zzzFM!!! (awesome program to install… um… programs lol) to set my user as owner… but it still won’t open. How do I figure out why? Is there a log I can look at? It’s Lagrange-1.14.2-armhf.AppImage by the way… the armhf maybe? The other appimage available is for 64bit (I’m on a 32bit machine)
      thx

“arm” in the file name indicates that it’s meant for arm devices, so not compatible with a regular destop/laptop…
There are very few appimages for 32bits computers…

there are no Lagrange 32bit binaries, so it’s natural it doesn’t run on your machine.
armhf architecture is for raspberry pi / arm processors, not x86.

so you can compile yourself, or try another gemini client : https://gemini.circumlunar.space/clients.html

              Thanks
I’m looking into how to build it right now, though it’s way over my head. I wanted a GUI, but I DO have bombadillo and amfora installed for the terminal now, and amfora is pretty neat to use, so I’ll stick with that for a while. (I just found out my host cut me off bah! so I need to find one of those, too)

There isn’t much to see graphically in gemini space. I run both Lagrange and Amfora, and I don’t personally find any particular benefit to one over the other. If it was me, I’d stick with Amfora and Bombadillo.

Lagrange has some unusual build dependencies like HarfBuzz and FriBidi, which I don’t know if they are able to be built for 32-bit. On the Lagrange github page, there’s been one person asking for a 32-bit Windows build, and no one asking for 32-bit Linux, so not much interest.
