      Hello, everyone!
I am running antiX 17.4.1 Debian Stable x64 and facing the following two issues:
      1. Upon every boot brightness always gets set to 100%, irrespective of its value prior to shut down.
      2. My android phone doesn’t show up in file manager upon connecting via cable. Neither Media Transfer Protocol nor Picture Transfer Protocol works.
Any and all suggestions about solving these are welcome.
      Thank you!

Hi betman, to set the brightness to the same value on every boot you could try to write

        xbacklight -set 80 &

to the hidden ~/.desktop-session/startup file in home, by changing 80 to your needs.

There’s also a new app called screenlight-antix in the repos, which I didn’t look at, until now.

For the android-phone, did you try this ?

Thank you, caprea! The brightness solution worked! Screenlight is awesome and could be replacement for redshift/f.lux. It seriously needs a pause/stop button, though.
Still couldn’t connect my phone for data transfer. The solutions (posted in the above link) doesn’t work, IDK why. jmtpfs, gmtp nothing’s working.
