      1) latest synaptic is not upgradable in testing, as it requires libept1.5.0, but the current libept1 is libept1.6.0 v1.2+b1.

      2) latest rsyslog (v8.2010.0-1 brings in libsystemd0.

      Regards,

      Jim

synaptic installs fine on my testing box and libept1.6.0 is also in testing.

        https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/libept1.6.0

Will build a nosystemd deb of rsyslog

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

If you want to track testing, remove the buster repos and use the antiX testing repo

That FIXED Synaptic (successfully upgraded to v0.90.2+antix1). The rsyslog’s less important (so will wait patiently), as it’s been in this state for quite some time now, but I didn’t even get around to saying anything a/b it until now.

I’m now at (hope this is correct):

              $>inxi -r
No active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list
              Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/antix.list

              2: deb http://security.debian.org/ testing-security main contrib non-free

              Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/various.list

              Thanks!

the developer of runit also made package socklog, which is currently available in bullseye and sid, but it depends on runit. I am using it on Devuan. I am no developer, but maybe it’s a good choice for runit users?
