From your second message, I understand that you can connect to your wireless Access point, but you have problems accessing the internet. If this is correct, the problem isn’t wifi but DNS resolving.

Please, try launching “Change Wifi Program” from menus or from the control centre, or from the terminal
          antix-wifi-switch --cli ceni
and try reconnecting to your Wireless Access Point. If connecting to the internet works, then the DNS problem has been resolved. If you cannot connect to your wireless Access Point, to the Internet or the wireless card is not working, please explain your problem in more detail.

as I said i might have accidentally removed some necessary packages, if I can get the names of the other necessary packages considering i use ceni and unbound dns, maybe i can check if they’re still installed…

                unbound dns

What does this program do? Does it disable resolvconf? Does it create its own /etc/resolv.conf symlink or what exactly does this program do?

i use it to have dns encryption, unbound is running as a service and /etc/resolv.conf points to 127.0.0.1. i think i need to remove whatever dns service was used by antix before but i don’t know the name of it exactly…

Ok. Then see if removing resolvconf (this is the package name you are looking for).

Maybe a good idea to search unbound dns on debian, probably no one here is familiar with it. I had never heard of it until I read your posts, same as xecure.

Maybe reading this document can help you find your way to a solution:
                          https://www.dropbox.com/s/glr38uo9z5aig7v/Network-Eng.pdf?dl=0
Sometimes it is not possible to download the document from there, so I am attaching it to this post as well.
(it is a document originally written in Italian and then translated with an online translator, so it is written in bad English but it should be understood)

I would do a default re-install since concerned about inadvertent library removal causing problems.
Since a re-install only takes a few minutes. Start with a fresh plate so to speak.
A dmesg tail for why wifi is failing and a inxi report would be nice also.

                            sudo dmesg | tail -10

                            inxi -Fxz

Maybe you take a look here. https://thomas-leister.de/unbound-als-lokaler-dns-resolver/

You are trying to setup from antiX unsupported software with which we have no experience with, but expect us to
research and deliver a fix for a system you have broken.

Nobody here gets paid for what we do, we are helpful but there are limits….

I managed to fix it by making resolv.conf writable and things worked again…

thank you everyone, I didn’t expect anything Moddit… I asked for antix necessary packages to make wireless work, unbound was just extra information…

So you didn’t need any extra packages?
                                  How did resolv.conf come unwritable?

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
