I also reported the problem to Flathub which looks like the best place to report the problem.

I see the problem and have a solution.

The flatpak for the 32-bit version of the Spotify Client on the Flathub repos uses the WRONG URL for the .deb binary for the 32-bit Spotify client.

        The URL should be http://repository.spotify.com/pool/non-free/s/spotify-client/spotify-client_1.0.72.117.g6bd7cc73-35_i386.deb

        NOT https://repository-origin.spotify.com/ etc etc.

I was able to easily download the .deb binary (that is needed by the flatpak) for 32-bit version of the Spotify Client from the correct URL.

So I hope someone updates the flatpak for the 32-bit version of the Spotify Client on Flathub with the right URL. I have reported the problem on the Flathub Forums.

Until someone does update the flatpak with the right URL, is there a way I can install the flatpak using the manually downloaded .deb file from the Spotify servers?

That deb dates back to 27 February 2018.
The 64bit version dates from 16 September 2020.
Clearly they (spotify) are no longer supporting 32bit (unfortunately).

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

You are probably right that Spotify has abandoned the 32-bit client on Linux. That is a pity.

But I suspect the 32-bit Spotify client still works on Linux. But it may not provide all the latest features that Spotify offers.
If someone updates the flatpak on Flathub with the right download URL, I will be able to see.
Or if someone knows how I can hack the flatpak file myself, that would be great.
