Hi, I’ve been trying to install team viewer in my antix distro but it keeps having errors!!
I’ve been following this online guide for Debian 9:
https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/How-do-I-install-TeamViewer-12-on-my-Linux-distribution/ta-p/4351
and I also tried with this
https://www.maketecheasier.com/install-use-teamviewer-linux/this happens when I do it manually:
E: Unable to locate package teamviewer_12.0.137452_i386.de
and when I try graphically using G-Debi package installer with teamviewer_12.0.137452_i386.deb and I hit “install” nothing happens, even after running apt-get update or trying to execute manually TeamViewer_Desktop.exe .What am I doing wrong? I really need this to work for my thesis, please help me. >_<

::I downloaded the 64 bit ubuntu/debian version from here; https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/linux/
Navigate to where you downloaded the deb, open terminal there and as root or sudo
dpkg -i name of app.debapt-get -f installPhilosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::thanks, I’ve tried what you said and I get another error (cannot launch Daemon) so I tried what it says here(https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/How-do-I-install-TeamViewer-12-on-my-Linux-distribution/ta-p/4351) under “the Teamviewer Daemon is not running” …not working for me.

::I don’t know teamviewer, but did you try as root in terminal
teamviewer --daemon startAlso the last command from the website you tried (nonsense like this) should be divided into 2 parts
cp /opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/script/teamviewerd.service /etc/init.d/teamviewerd service teamviewerd start
cp /opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/script/teamviewerd.service /etc/init.d/teamviewerdservice teamviewerd startIf this won’t help then maybe think about trying the last section from the webside

::After installing, I just clicked n the teamviewer.desktop file (as user, not root) in /usr/share/applications. No start of daemons needed, but I don’t have an account so have no idea whether it would connect. I don’t use this app.
