>>> the MX Linux team, if they know an alternative
Aha, I neglected to check whether MX has newer packages for these, compared to debian.
Yes, search in page: http://mxrepo.com/MX19TestPackages.html
So, as soon as mx-idevice-mounter – 0.1.5.13mx19 been packaged for bullseye, you’ll be back in bidness.
Ok… I took your advice and looked for something different to help me mount my iPad. I have installed installed iFuse (libimobiledevice6 was already installed)… my ipad wasn’t recognized (no device found). It is an iPad 1 which I used to play music during the pandemic in lieu of singing (I am a minister). Can anyone think of why Antix isn’t recognizing my device? Does debian no longer recognize iPad 1? I am flummoxed.
Thank you, Skidoo, for reassuring me that it won’t be too long before I am back in business!
I really appreciate everyone’s help… but I have something to pass along. I found this article: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=143213. It says ifuse and libmobiledevice cannot recognize IOS 5.1.1, which is what is on my first generation iPad. It suggested a fix that I cannot understand… beyond my abilities. The command lsusb recognizes the iPad. I am probably stuck… don’t you think? Probably time for a new used iPad that can be recognized by linux?
NOTE: This post has been [SOLVED]. I can no longer edit it… Can an administrator/moderator please mark it [SOLVED] for me? Thanks!!! Herndon
