Hello there, first time poster here.

I am running antiX from a Fujitsu M2010 Netbook. After I managed to get things workable, I seem to be stumbling upon my last hurdle.

I want to use this netbook to watch videos from Udemy. It refuses to play due to unspecified errors. I also tried Chromium, but Udemy suggests that there are some codecs missing, which is what brings me here. It seems to have trouble playing encrypted videos. DRM playback is enabled in my Firefox settings.

I tried to follow an article like this, for installing more codecs: https://linuxhint.com/install_multimedia_codecs_debian_10/

However, until now, nothing seems to be working out. Do you think you can help with this?

the widevine drm plugin does not work on 32 bit systems.

from the help link by the firefox drm settings

        Playing DRM-controlled content in Firefox
Note: Google Widevine ended support for 32-bit Linux on May 31, 2021. Only 64-bit Linux is supported.

the widevine drm plug-in does not work on 32 bit systems.

From what I read, your CPU seems, unfortunately to be 32bits only:

Info: single core model: Intel Atom N280 bits: 32 arch: Bonnell

If I’m wrong, try installing the 64bits version – it’s slightly more demanding, but is fully compatible with modern software… This netbook has similar specs to mine a 1.6 atom CPU, 1 gb of RAM – my netbook has antiX 64 – and in Firefox (64bits version) the required DRM plug-in should install fine (it did in my device).

          P.
