      I use antix22. how can I uninstall nvidia-driver and install free driver noveau?

        sudo ddm-mx -p nvidia

        where “-p” means purge.

          thx that works for me because I had an error by starting steam:

          glxChooseVisual failed.

          now steam starts again.

            Steam needs some nvidia 32bit OpenGL libraries, might these have been missing.See here for example

            Please read both sides.

            Steam always needs to be installed before the nvidia driver , otherwise there are problems with the 32-bit libraries.

              @caprea, is that true if you have enabled 32 bit architecture prior to installing?

              sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

              It has been a long while since I installed Steam, so I may be misremembering.

                Well ,I’m not sure.For installing steam on debian the i386 architecture must have been added before.

                  As I recollect, if you enable 32 bit architecture, install the display driver, then Steam, it works. It has been so long, I am not 100% certain.
