Very simple if you know it.
However, in the Applications list in the menu, under Internet, it says “FlashPeak Slimjet”.
In the list, after clicking preferred Apps, I could not find that anywhere, the only thing I found was “slimjet.desktop” and that doesn’t work.

      Thanks anyway.

the only thing I found was “slimjet.desktop” and that doesn’t work.

Could you please explain a bit more what this means .
Do the changes you apply not persist ? Is there after opening the “Prefered applications” again only shown “none” under browsers ?

There was a problem with the desktop-default-set script, someone suggested a solution

if you delete an application that is choosen there.

Somehow I thought it was fixed in antix17.3.1

If not so we bring it up here again for the devs to see.

First, I could not find the filename as mentioned in the list under Applications=>Internet.
And, as you asked, after double-checking now, there is o nly shown “(None)” in the Preferred Application List.

I’ll have a look at that in a minute.
Thank you again for your help and advice.

So you found (rediscovered) a bug.
I’m not sure who of the devs is gonna look for it, maybe Dave.

It’s also possible to make the changes for the menu manually.
Assuming you are using rox-icewm, which is the default on antiX, please go to control-center~~~icewm-preferences and open it
This will open the files for icewm with geany, in this case it’s the menu-file which is important.
There will be a line about like this
            prog “Web Browser” /usr/share/icons/Faenza-Cupertino-mini/apps/32/web-browser.png desktop-defaults-run -b

            change it to
            prog “Web Browser” /usr/share/icons/Faenza-Cupertino-mini/apps/32/web-browser.png flashpeak-slimjet

            This should work.

              Great stuff.
              That did the trick.
              Thank you ever so much.

Do you mean the bug that was overlooked?

                      OK, that’s great.
How do I install that update?
                      Just
                      sudo apt update desktop-session-antix 0.4.13?
                      Thanks.
