      OK! Now what?

At some point (according to the inxi- r you just posted), you also enabled bullseye-backports
This is the message ‘No active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bullseye-backports.list’

So you have a Frankenstein antiX no doubt and this is very likely to cause problems in the future even if you sort out this particular problem.

      Install aptitude and then

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

      Post the output.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

                      sudo aptitude install libgtk2.0-dev

BTW – why do you want to install libgtk2.0-dev?

I’m trying to install the Eiffel programming language from a tarball.
One of the dependencies is this gtk stuff. Not sure if the -dev was required.
Can’t remember – so many booby-traps since I tried to install.

I’ll install it anyway. What the hell …
