Where do I find the upgrade lines for the .list files, and what is the pathway? Is there a tutorial here? Do I just change the names out (i.e. from Jessie to Stretch). It’s been a long time since I have done any of this command line stuff.
NOTE: I believe I used to use `apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist upgrade. Is this command still useable? TIA
ALSO, how do I disable this annoying pad that my thumbs keep touching and removing parts of my posts :>)!
For turning the touchpad off try
synclient TouchpadOff=1
For turning on
synclient TouchpadOff=0
I always do a complete install when version numbers change, part of the reason I have a separate /home.
But yes, basically apt-get upgrade && apt-get distupgrade should work OK, (but I can’t remember if it upgrades the Kernel).
Linux (& BSD) since 1999
