Hi there! Im using antiX19 core x64 frugal static with mate and sddm.During boot as mentioned in the title boot process stops for a while looking eth0.I only have wifi cofigured with ceni.Im attaching an image of booting.

I did not see this behaviour in antiX17.

Edit /etc/network/interfeces file so it looks like this.

        # interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)
        auto lo
        iface lo inet loopback

Then use ceni to set up your wireless network

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Thanks anti. But it is already like you suggested. So I commented

          #auto eth0
          #iface eth0 inet dhcp

and I think it is working.

Ok, if that works for you – go for it.

Another option since you are running frugal (live) is to add m to the disable cheat at the boot menu.

            eg disable=lxm

BTW – How well is antiX-19 frugal MATE working?

Is it the grub.entry file you are mentioning? If it is then I need to change disable=lxdF 3 to disable=lxm ok?
Im already using antiX17-BASE frugal with MATE and Slim dm.Mate never felt snappier with any other distros than antiX-17 for me.MATE integrated beautifully with antiX-17.This time I took antiX19-CORE frugal for mate and sddm.To speak the truth Im really strugling to get going.Only minor problems though.Cant get audio working with alsa, pulseaudio. There is polkit or dbus problem also.No options to shutdown or reboot.Only logout option available. Can not mount ntfs drive.Synaptic opens through terminal only.
Edit:Running pulseaudio -D in terminal gets audio working. Thanks to @manyroads tutorial.

disable=lxdF 3 will disable dbus (the ‘d’ cheat) and you probably want it running so change to disable=lxmF
