Hello!
I would like to know how can I stop an USB controller from acting as a mouse.
Just in case, I would like to know the same thing, but for an XBox 360 (wireless) controller, when I have the chance to get it.
I once tried to delete xserver-xorg-input-joystick, and it worked, with the joystick working as it should if I recall correctly, but I tried it again when instead of using JWM I was using herbstluftwm, and it seems that the program I used to play with it stop detecting it until I installed xserver-xorg-input-joystick again, so I would like to know a way of doing this without deleting it.
This works for me:
