How does one show a USB icon on desktop when one inserts a USB?

If you are running the Rox-IceWM desktop, when you insert a USB it can read, it will open a window showing the contents. If you drag the USB Drive icon to the desktop you will have your desktop icon. If the drive is unmounted and you hover over the icon it will turn to a yellow ! warning. If you plug one in and hover, it will turn back into a gear.

Others might have better ideas, who knows? Did you try Forum >> Search for desktop usb icon?

Sorry, I don’t run that desktop myself, so had to simulate it on a different machine that isn’t signed in here to post, and the standard USB version of antiX doesn’t have screenshot uploads to imgur built in, so I just described it as best I could.
