I tried to boot antiX-19.4_386-core.iso in Virtualbox, as I wanted to check something in the live, to compare with the Bento antiX I am working on but I couldn’t get it to continue booting after the message related to populating /dev.

I tried in Bento antiX amd64 (in which I installed Virtualbox) and I tried in Ubuntu (Bento built on 20.04) : the result is the same in both computers.

      I enclose a screenshot.

I have checked the md4sum, sha512sum, both are correct.

I can add the Virtualbox last log if needed.

      What do you think?

Try removing splash=v at live boot menu

Also try using a different Graphics controller than VMSVGA in VBox Display settings

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

That worked, thank you! Also while I was at it I removed the quiet option. I like seeing the messages while it boots.

I didn’t need to change it, but you made me notice this option which I had never noticed before. It is always good to know so thank you again!
