      volume level . sound level

      live install default sound level setting(as of 3-10-2019 for antix 17.3.1)

      from user:
      caprea
      and expanded

      The setting of the sound volume at startup is configured in the desktop-session.conf file

      menu->control centre->session->user desktop-session

      this will open 7 files in geany(automount.conf**desktop-default.conf**desktop-session.conf**mouse.conf**wallpaper-list.conf**wallpaper.conf**,and statup

      In geany go to the desktop-session.conf , scroll down to STARTUP_SOUND_LEVEL
      By default it is set to 25%

        BTW, the alsamixer in the control center should have a “pre-amp” setting on the far right of the controls.
        you can use this to bump up the base sound volume.

        The control for pre-amp within the too-wide UI may be offscreen until you scroll right.
        (When not all controls fit the screen width, a row of green arrows along right side provides a hint.)
