      Hi guys,

      today I installed Antix 17 64bit on a Toshiba Sat A300 laptop.
It was a bit of work till I got everything running.
I still have a few issues here where I need your help please. πŸ™‚

So, the Toshiba laptop has a master volume wheel in the front, which obviously should control the master volume.
This doesn’t work at all in Antix 17. (I double checked with elementary os 0.4 and the wheel works fine.)

Anyway, I have sound. And the wheel works, for example with VLC
So if I play an mp3 file in VLC I can use the vol wheel to adjust the sound output of VLC.
But as soon as I put VLC playing music in the background the vol wheel does nothing.
I have to put VLC back in the foreground to adjust the volume via the wheel.

if I have NO app running the wheel does nothing at all. The master volume bar does not move.
I can only adjust the master volume bar using the mouse.

So, any ideas what I can do here?
I already googled a lot and found a few (old) topics on linux distris like mint, ubuntu, etc.
But these topics where old and didn’t gave me any hint of what I could do on my Antix 17.

Please let me know of there is a possible solution for this issue.
      Thank you. πŸ™‚

      Best regards,
      Fonsis

try right-clicking on the volume icon in the systray, got to Preferences, find the hotkeys area, and enable all the hotkeys.
