A lungfish taking a stroll at low tide, these fascinating little creatures move themselves
with their front fins which are near to legs over land at low tide. when the water comes back
join the other fish. They are rarely far away from a mud hole and can dive in to it very
quickly if disturbed.
This one was photographed in the Mekong delta south of HoChiMinh (Some still call the city Saigon).
They are found in the city too but often the river smells so bad it is better to stay away.
reason is that so many dams have been built on this majestic river which starts in Himalaya.
China is threatening to divert the flow, if that happens people will starve in Laos, Cambodia
and Vietnam, a country which is very much in my heart.Brian Masinick

and Moddit the bovine babe is quite soft for a bovine photo. It is nice.
No tag hanging on the bovine ear; I am more accustomed to seeing a tag.Hi ile, I was happy for the animal, hanging huge plastic tags on animal ears is in my eyes disgusting cruelty.
The politicians who thought that out should have same done to them but where it really hurts, human ears are not
as pain sensetive as those of most animals.Years ago I had a lot to do with dogs, not always friendly ones, if they needed a lesson just grabbed an ear and
pinched, they howl in pain. I would not try that on a 400 Kilo Bovine though. An angry cow is very dangerous, better
stay away.The picture was taken near the Mekong Bridge in CanTho Vietnam. For the people living nearby owning one cow is more
wealth than many others have. Mostly they are looked after pretty well. Better than the in the milk or meat factorys
the non initiated call farms in europe. Cows in cages from the moment they are removed from mothers very early so as
to harvest maximum milk or soggy insipid meat. Most never see grass or sunshine. Sad cruel and inhuman.couple more, the wasp frightened my friends, it was hungry so not a worry for me.
The Lizard, not sure if i was being checked out by a being alien to me. They are
very shy and jump, then high run at warp speed if feeling disturbed, if really in
a hurry only back legs in use and tail in the air for balance.
High run is body held high off the ground, not all reptiles do that, alligators
are famous for it, then they are dangerously fast.Attachments:

Great photos Moddit,
here is one of a dragonfly type bug.
And a shot of central NM. this is right outside of Morirty in
the springtime looking west towards the Sandia Mountains.
