Gentlemen, I continue to appreciate “your eye” for photographic excellence. Thanks once again for your contributions; whether in color, black & white, high res, low res, large, or small, they’ve all been very good and I am sure that whatever taste people have in their art collections, wallpaper backgrounds, or simply enjoying nature scenes, we don’t lack for anything here; once again: “Thanks!”

        @moddit

a big animal crashing quite quickly through the undergrowth towards where I stood. I could hear it coming but not see what it was, could have been an angry male monkey, they are really dangerous.

You have a way with words! Now that I would like to see… (but understanably, you would run — so would I!)

        And as masinick wrote,

        I wholeheartedly agree!

Thanks to all, together we are getting a nice collection.

@all if you run from a monkey remember, he is fast, if you can jump in car and drive away or get inside a house away from window,
if he can see you he will come through the glass unless bars present.
@ some asian temples you may find a monk with a pitchfork quietly hovering in the background to look after you, in case.
Notwithstanding many persons more attuned to nature live pretty much peacefuly with monkey populatations.

By Batu cave, near Kuala Lumpur you would see the monkeys steal handbags, ladys shoes, tear off dresses, they are all part of that
indian Temple which is devoted to them. They also love cameras and phones, somewhere in youtube I saw a video containing selfies and
pictures taken by our hairy brothers and sisters. Some tame, brought up as family member, chimps are pretty good photographers.

I have some monkey photos, I can not remember if any of what Viet persons call king monkey. That is the dominant male in a group.
Last one I remember some kind person left the door of a motorcycle shed open, my food water bottle gone, king on the rented scooter
in a boy racer pose. And yes some do ride away if anybody leaves the key in the lock.

Edit: the scooters are automatic and some newer ones stop start, so with ign on just twist gas, side stand goes up and crash or ride.
My suspicion is kids teach young monkeys to ride but who knows, could be some bored novice monks too.
All apes are intelligent and watch what others do. Imitating and fast learning are important to their survival as is paying great attention
to what goes on around them.

Thanks, I learned a few things about animals and look forward to seeing more as time permits.

              Reflections,
Watching windows pulsating on a windy day, the movement turning reflections of
surrounding buildings in to highly surreal patterns of light.

Results are scaled and slightly cropped.

Capturing a tiny amount of the light reflected back from the building concerned IS
NOW a DCMA OFFENSE because a US, so called “entertainment company” has purchased photographic
rights. This also applies to Eiffel Tower, Tower of London and other buildings AND Landmarks.

When you are forced to get a brain chip the btard content mafia will bill you for anything you see.

                More technical photonic Impressionism.
When a day is breezy high buildings twist turn and shake.
Heat reflective glass cladding goes convex concave rippled,
These are reflections not stained glass.

Second one I played a little with the colors.
Same as previous post fun to play with in Gimp.

Lot of impressive work in this thread. Many thanks for the encouragement to continue
                    with photos.
Stormy was just that, afternoon but very dark.
I have only resized and reduced quality so I could upload. Thought about removing the
masts at bottom but left them as not so intrusive.
The sand artist is a small crab which lives in the near central hole.
His work is renewed every time the tide goes out, by feeding on organic particles
                    found in the sand.

I must admit to being pretty down lately. Have not seen many friends for
                    more than a year now.
In retrospect I wish I had got on the plane for vietnam as planned in March. I already
had a visa. Now impossible to get.
There life is pretty much normal, Flooding in central VN is because of cutting bamboo
and remaining forest, mostly bamboo which is all that will grow in many mountain areas
thanks to the great american heroes spraying agent orange from a safe hight.
Covid, i think about 27 dead altogether and well controlled due to intelligent measures
by the government. They had a lockdown, free health treatment and food delivered by military
at least in HoChiMinh. Prices stayed normal for masks and shields, a couple of marketers tried
to profit from the crisis, they are in free accomadation. military Jail for endangering the
                    population and fight against infection..
I would have been living and moving around free not like here in near solitary confinement.
the VN government have beeen very fair to foreigners, giving free visa extensions and
allowing what were tourists to work. Free healthcare too as many lost health insurance over
                    time.

A lot of other crappy countrys could learn from them.

lady worker carrying salt. This is what we would call Fleuer de Sel, the crystal salt flowers
which swims on an evaporating highly saline solution.
The saline was just about surviving after the government allowed salt to be imported for the
chemical industry, it was sold illegaly on markets very cheaply and caused great damage to an
anchient craft. Poisoned people too as contaminated with chemicals.

I bought what I could carry because the taste is wonderful, nothing like the supermarket added poison
crap we get here. I learned the difference between rubbish and real salt in Greece after scraping crystals
from shoreline rocks to add to a salad which included strange shaped giant tomato’s bought from an old
lady in a remote village. i never forgot her, selling local herbs, honey from her own hives, local red wine
from a giant barrel. i filled empty water bottles and mountain village made Ziporro. Tasted fantastic.

Ziporro, is the noble brother of ouzo.

The pic of kids came about because I do not speak Tieng Viet, and just sat slightly bored.
Their dad gave them the phone to keep them from disturbing an earnest conversation.
I like the shot, both were immersed in something to look at.

Yeah, they are slightly blurry here, but if they are a bit sharper once downloaded, there are nice; thanks for the art work!

I downloaded them on my Chromebook just to take a look, and yes, the images are sharper, so when I’m back on my antiX system I’ll grab ’em and try ’em out there too. I think these will become part of the antiX art collection that I keep, along with many of the fine efforts from one of our other artist in residence experts, “linuxdaddy”.

Thanks for yet another excellent contribution!
