It’s a very good picture; I saved it and I tried several times, but I’m not very good at all when it comes to seeing unexpected images or “surprises” in a picture. So today you can have a “good laugh” at me if you want; I still appreciate the image and the many things we’ve shared over the past few years in this thread; thank you all once again!

I wasn’t able to see it. Here is another photo taken in the Rio Grande valley of New Mexico
last summer.

::Those are both good; on my system, the Rio Grande Valley picture comes out particularly well as a background or wallpaper. For rotating screensaver images, I still smile every time I see the one with Olive standing in a kind of sideways look – kittylooking1-640×360.jpg. Wallpapers on my newer system look best at a higher resolution than that one, but it doesn’t stop my “smile” for the screensaver.
I recently went hunting for some more “Cumberland Falls (Corbin, Kentucky) wallpaper images, and I found one called Cumberland_Falls_Moonbow_panarama.jpg that looks REALLY good as a background wallpaper image. If you enjoy either wooded area backgrounds or water-based backgrounds or nature scenes in general, in recent years I’ve found the pictures taken at the Cumberland Falls are as nice or nicer than other waterfalls.
The Niagara River between the US and Canada has one of the largest drops, and certainly is a water marvel, but the area surrounding Niagara Falls, in my opinion, is nowhere near as beautiful as the Cumberland Falls Park region. I think that the most “spectacular” waterfalls of all are probably in other countries, probably in one of the large Asian or African wildernesses, or possibly one in South America. Anyway, I definitely appreciate images of our pets, our preserved nature, wildwife, and other beautiful sites. Thanks for frequently contributing in this area, and thanks to Ile and others who have also contributed; I watch for entries here and I appreciate all of them!

Yes, that works great; thanks for the tip. I’m gonna resave a few of my old favorites again with the full size.

::Today I notice many images disappeared from this screenshots topic. Other topic Brian said someone “left” the forum this past week. Was this person “linuxdadday”? Do we know what happened? Some argument?

::It wasn’t linuxdaddy insulting anyone; he was the victim of forum bullys. Bullying is never accepted here.

::Argh! That is too bad. Linuxdaddy was a good contributor. It’s a shame that some people cannot behave. I have been away for awhile so I missed the bullying. There is no excuse for that behavior. Yet it is all over the net. Hopefully this place will remain civil. And I hope Linuxdaddy will come back some day.
