I’d like to be able to run live-remaster from the toolbar on the machine I setup for my wife, so that she can remaster periodically, for example after updates. But to keep it very simple for her I would like to run it using a preset configuration file that tell it in advance the answers to all of its questions so that no input is needed, it could log its progress to a file, and in the end it would either come back with a completion message or an error message.

Does something like this already exist or is there an easy way to accomplish this?

If not, what is the best way to go about it? Should it be a new program or call the live-remaster with the option of a config file to use to provide default responses?

        Hey BobC,

There is no man page. The help file stands in for it (live-remaster –help), but it will not work like you want it to, unless there are undocumented switches.

No matter what options I tried, there are questions asked. Especially concerning is for when you have an old linuxfs file (linuxfs.old) that hasn’t been deleted – live-remaster asks what to do with it.

Maybe YOU should just update & remaster on the 1st of each month? 😉
