EDIT: as per anticapitalista’s post below, this information applies to antiX older than 21 (thanks for that important rectifiction!)

If you prefere not to watch youtube videos on your browser (because your computer is too old to hadle it or because you don’t want to watch adds or be monitored by Google), using smtube or opening a youtube link directly with MPV is a nice option- but that depends on the yt-dl application- that seems to be abandonned, and Youtube altered the way it streams video to stop it from working as it should. Fortunatly yt-dl was forked into yt-dlp.
If you install yt-dlp (using Synaptic or the terminal, with the command:
      sudo apt install yt-dlp

yt-dl gets replaced by yt-dlp and you can continue streaming video in a fast, private way

      P.

yt-dlp comes preinstalled on antiX-21 as does ytfzf https://github.com/pystardust/ytfzf

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

This is a great feature – plays youtube with no adds. If I remember correctly you brought this up in this forum some time ago…
Plays fine with antiX 21 Runit as expected, except just as with antiX 19, some videos (appears to be minority) fail to start.
