I am here as a new Anti-X user.

      Why Anti-X?

I have three old computers that I am trying to get some use out of, and essentially anti-x is the only operating system that I could get to boot on them.

      1. Compaq Presario with only 256 Mb of memory. It is eventually planned to be used for running emulators of even older computers.

      2. Acer Aspire with I think 2 GB of memory. Planned for Ham radio and retro-computing experimentation as a target systems.

      3. A Dell Latitude Inspiron with 4GB of memory that I want to try to use as a general purpose Laptop for Ham Radio use also retro-computing, and general electronics experimentation.

The systems are connected to an AirLink 4 port KVM switch. The laptop is using a USB to PS-2 keyboard adapter.

The anti-X linux is the only operating system that I could find to install on the laptop that supports using the dual monitors with the radeon chipset in it.

The retro-computing stuff I will be trying to do requires computers old enough to have physical floppy drives and actual serial and parallel ports.

My background is from decades of OpenVMS programming, Ham Radio, and 8 bit micro-computer programming.

The current project that I am working on using the laptop the conversion of the Ham D-Rats program from python2 to python3, which also requires it to be converted to GTK-3. This is a challenge for me because I do not have experience with GTK 2 programming, so I am having to learn all that while I go.

While my setup is functional, there are some issues with it that I have not been able to find solutions for on the internet, so I plan to writing topics about in other software or hardware sections of the forum.

? are you aware of this project (idunno, maybe this is your project):
        https://github.com/jondkelley/d-rats3k
3rd gen rewrite of D-RATS to python3 with gtk3 for modern platform support.

I am aware of the Jondkelly fork. I tried it and could not get it to run, and it looks like it has not been updated for a while.

I have the ratflector running under python3, but still have lots of issues with the d-rats program.

Currently I am working on getting some of the unit tests running again and feeding changes to what has become the new upstream repository.
