I am trying too make WebDAV work in antiX.
– Installed davfs – davfs2 client, as it is not installed by default.
– Entered WebDAV address in SpaceFM address box
Correctly asks for username then password for the WebDAV site
Then fails with:
/sbin/mount.davfs: Mounting failed.
302 Found.Just to add, I did install Keith’s plug-in as recommended by d_o’s video on SpaceFM features. Video excellent as always by the way…
Any ideas how to resolve this will be greatly appreciated. Exhausted my options…

::302 Found.
This means there is a redirection.
Make sure the url you are using for the WebDAV site doesn’t change when it is accessed. For example, if using a http url, instead use a https url.I found this:
from http://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=8783#p53390
Despite many efforts to mount Skydrive with davfs2 in Linux, I kept getting the “Found 302” error, meaning that the provided WebDAV URL redirects to another page. It turns out, davfs2 currently is unable to handle any redirects, which Skydrive (unlike many other WebDAV storage providers) uses. There is a related davfs2 bug that was filed over 2 years ago, yet it seems no progress has been made since.Myabe this post has nothing to do with your case, so this could be ignored for now.
Could you use a different procedure to mount your WebDAV? Maybe using terminal or fstab?

Yes. I am using https. I tried also dav://. Same result.

This sounds likely. Description is exactly what I experience. Under Windows WebDAV is as simple as just connecting network drive.
My last resort will be to try Wine and WinSCP under Wine. Unfortunately there is no Linux version of WinSCP and I saw on some forums people use Wine/WinSCP to connect network data that way…

Running Wine and WinSCP under Wine on antiX successfully connected to WebDAV in my preliminary testing.
It is not optimal solution, of course, to have to resort to Windows program to connect to something as WebDAV… As I mentioned, it is the last resort though, if nothing else works. I will be trying other methods in the meantime. It is a shame that support for such basic networking protocols is so spotty and undependable in Linux…
Thanks again for your help…

::Sorry I wasn’t of much help. I only sync/mounted a onedrive account as a folder using rclone, but I haven’t tested mounting other stuff since then. Not long ago PPC created a script to help mount cloud storage services as folders using rclone and yad (here: http://github.com/PPC-scripts/access_cloud), but I don’t know how usefull it could be for webdav (I had never heard of the word before your post).
Sorry I cannot provide much help. Probably someone from the MX forum has already experimented with webdav before and may know what to do.

::Hum…
@Moderators: Did the previous user “necroposted” on a 2 years dead post just to advertise for software for another Operating System?Edit: I read the linked page – Do they really advertise for an app to allow file transfers between Mac’s and Android devices? antiX includes that for the great cost of 0! (True, I probably should rework the current script, that seems to have some problems on antiX 21…)
