::I am running antiX 21 on an old Acer One Netbook A0A110.
These were sold by PC World with a choice of WinXP (alleged to be grindingly slow) or Linspire. I took the latter, but in trying to be a Windows replacement, it locked the user out of the terminal, so I soon replaced it with a lightweight linux. Over the years it has had xubuntu, lubuntu, debian, linux lite, among others, all of which eventually became too slow – until I discovered antiX, which still runs well, and with access to the debian repository, what’s not to like?

::I tried the Ethernet port here again near the lobby, and like the one with a router connection hub, neither of them have Ethernet enabled any more. Wireless works throughout the facility fortunately.
As far as antiX testing here, I’ll have to wait (on this system) until I get a chance to go to a location with a live Ethernet port; the reason is that antiX 21 recognizes the Ethernet hardware but not the wireless hardware on this system: Intel Ice Lake-LP PCH CNVi WiFi driver: iwlwifi.
This IS recognized: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet driver: r8169.--

::At first glance it appears that the Liquorix kernel saves a few MB on memory usage; however, I started this Liquorix kernel immediately after boot, not quite an identical test; my guess is that there is very little actual memory difference. I’ll check again just to confirm this!

::I IMMEDIATELY went to the terminal for this test, and either I did it even quicker than the other two tests OR the antiX 4.9 kernel does use FEWER (not MORE) resources than the Liquorix kernel ~442 MB in inxi, under 300 MB as shown in conky, perhaps ~260-270 MB.
