Hmm, I have had more comments here in the past few days than this information topic has seen since I opened it.
It’s handy for me because I can check back on the kernels, the memory use and the resulting overhead of different browsers, kernels and utilities.

DST ends in many areas after this evening though I have seen at least one discussion where certain areas want to keep DST all the time so it’s light longer in the evening and dark later in the early morning. I suppose the preferences depend greatly on when you most appreciate daylight!

What is your plan with the NUC? Home theater PC? Seems like it would be a good form factor to attach to a large TV with Kodi or other media software.

I already did that with a Dell 755 Tower running MX 21 Fluxbox . I use my bookmarks and password login for my roku accounts online.
That Dell was free from city hall when they upgraded their servers. Had to upgrade Windows so the Dell was going to the dumpster.
I have the ancient nvidia card working on that box with the nvidia 390 driver. So watching movies is a breeze on that old server.
I watched Hell or High waterRight now. Just concentrating on getting it to display and boot something on it. See what works and what does not. See if efi partition is gone.
Stuff like that. Check bluetooth and stuff. AntiX for sure though. Kodi not needed since wife pays for roku account. External hard drive will be 500 GB.
To makeup for the small ssd. I won’t need it to automount though. Pretty simple stuff at first. Not sure yet what hunt I will sic that dog on. Land line for right now.
Could become wireless and moved to the shop later. Never played with NUC before. Virgin Territory.Sorry I am hijacking your thread Brian. Bad admin !!!!!!!

I use a few tabs on occasion. For example, I usually have a Yahoo Mail tab open, because I’ve used the basic Yahoo Mail since the mid 1990s for my personal Email. I have another tab open for this forum; occasionally I’ll have a third tab open if I’m reading a mail or forum message that causes another entry to open, so I’m not opposed to using browser tabs, but I do not keep them open incessantly; I close them when I am done using them.
I’m using the Ungoogled Chromium Web browser at the moment on a version of PCLinuxOS that is freshly updated; I keep a copy of MX Linux and PCLinuxOS available because they are both handy general purpose Linux distributions. MX Linux is lighter than PCLinuxOS, but PCLinuxOS has a broader catalogue of applications, so when I need something full featured it does the job; when I have an older system, I DEFINITELY go with antiX the majority of the time!

I just installed “fish” on PCLinuxOS – fish is the friendly interactive shell, similar to bash in some ways, yet also with a few distinct differences, such as:
