::I had THREE tabs open, so the resources used in that scenario are pretty reasonable for a lightweight full function web browser.
In the three tabs I had a webmail site, an electronic news site and the antiX forum site running.--

::I’m here with antiX after updating the other systems on my newest computer, the HP-14 laptop.
While looking around the ‘net, I happened to stop by DistroWatch and I found an update about a recent update to Legacy OS 2023; it is now based on antiX instead of Puppy Linux! I just downloaded it and I’ll be trying it out.
Meanwhile here are today’s updated information stats on my current instance, with a roxterm, two tabs of the MX Linux version of Firefox 108.0.1 (could use a refresh soon), and a zzzFM instance with the Legacy OS download and another instance of the Live USB Maker, which just completed writing Legacy OS 2023 to USB, which I’ll try out today.

::I’m here now with antiX on my Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop. I’m looking around to see if I want to add John Biles’ Legacy OS somewhere, replacing something else on this system, or simply use a Live instance of it; Legacy OS is perfect for this old legacy laptop, which certainly has plenty of oomph left.

::I’m here using Netsurf as the Web browser and also using a USB copy of John’s recently shared Legacy OS 2023.
I’m using this setup on my Dell Inspiron 5558, which is old enough to work perfectly with the kernels provided and “new” enough to still do many things well.--

::I spent some time with John Biles’ Legacy OS 2023 on my Dell Inspiron 5558 and now I’m back on my HP-14 today updating my various distributions. Just updated EndeavourOS, and I’m going through the remainder of them, then I’ll end up at antiX and share my regular information report, which I use as a personal diary of changes and features. Over time, using different options, different kernels, etc. plus weather and other information, I get a little bit of history, which helps me remember some of the things I’m doing and keep track of resource use on different systems.
I’ve noticed from my reports and the reports of others that newer systems consume significantly more resources to provide quite a few more built in features.
I’ll be back with information after I’ve completed my updates.--
