          Original hard drive came pretty small with no operating system. Most Mac and Windows bidders look for bigger hard drives in their desktop computers.
          Probably why I got away with a cheap bid. Oh yeah. Came with no monitor or power supply. So ya take your chances when going cheap.
          I do a lot of risk taking. Works out so far.

            Got a couple of Linux systems configured to accept my Bluetooth device today.
            Basically I removed any previous configurations and redid them and they worked,
            so I can try that on other systems including antiX.
            On antiX, I’m still getting “Connection failed: Protocol not available”.
            The device is “seen, as are other nearby devices.
            I’ll see if I have any other devices I can connect.
            Had the same problem with a JBL Flip 2.
            Like the Soundcore Life Q10, I was able to connect the JBL Flip 2 speaker
            using an audio jack cable.

            Maybe Bookworm will give some results; just got my Soundcore Life to pair
            and connect to audio so there is indeed hope ahead.

                      Hi Brian, when I today saw that you have installed nala, I immediately started a new attempt to install it, which did not work at all the last time, or install went already, but it came only errors when using.
                      Today after a few attempts I finally found a hint that nala-legacy must be installed on bullseye.

                      A certain getting used to is necessary.If I see it right
                      nala upgrade
                      for example does this
                      apt update && apt full-upgrade –auto-remove
                      if you dont want to autoremove, you have to tell it explicitly to nala.

                      My daily companion

                        Regarding nala, I believe I have used the legacy implementation.
                        I’ll check and update this note.

                          Yes, I have nala-legacy installed. The manual that was installed with it has these comments:

                          upgrade

                                        upgrade upgrades packages installed on the system.

                                        By default nala will run the equivalent of apt update && apt full-upgrade --auto-remove.

                                        This behavior can be changed in the configuration file or you can use nala upgrade --no-up‐
                                        date.

                            Even though nala has parallel package management methods, which should result in faster overall downloads, between our antiX tools and the scripts and aliases I’ve developed for my own personal use, some old habits die slowly. I’ve used nala on a couple of systems and it does work well and efficiently; I have not seen any reasons to avoid it and in time I’ll probably use it more often.

                              On another matter, I’ve read complaints about some kernels and also about some Web browsers.
                              Since I’ve been writing this thread, I checked ps_mem.py again, and I was pleased to see that there was no hint of increased memory usage, and in fact, the standard Firefox binary combined with an efficient Liquorix 6.1.11-1 kernel and the runit scheduler, memory is consistent, and on more than one occasion when I close a few tabs, within a few minutes browser cache memory is released. Firefox does tend to cache a lot of initial memory and the base image is somewhat heavy, but in context, not for the resources that I have available at all.

                                I’m here with an antiX 22 Live instance that I created not long ago today using the Live USB Maker.
                                At least for this image, the default was to create a Full Featured Mode – writable LiveUSB.
                                I’ve not yet built a scenario to run Live USB Maker on a snapshot image; I will work on that too.
