::I just had some problems with my network. I couldn’t immediately determine whether it was a local network issue here, or a network stability issue with the software. First I got dropped a few times, but was able to reconnect. After a few hours though the networking went out altogether.
Attempts to change network manager, restart network manager, etc. all failed.A reboot solved the issue, which does lead me to conclude that the issue was in something either I created or is an occasional flaw in some component.
I won’t point the finger here unless it’s something I can readily reproduce.--

::By the way, several of the “new” goodies packages and icewm toolbar tools are installed on the antiX 23 Alpha image; I confirmed the ones already installed, and added a few more; they’re looking good.
By the time antiX 23 is final, it’ll still be a lean distribution, but it has many optional convenience and appearance options not available directly from the distribution in the past. Many people will appreciate this. I think the full kit image will expand a bit, but I’ve been running it on the system shown above and it’s working well.

::I didn’t get a chance to report any system updates today yet. That’s because I took a nice long walk on “the Swamp Rabbit Trail” into the town of Travelers Rest, SC, then back home.
No sooner than I arrived home, I was greeted with a surprise out of town visit from my son and his wife, accompanied by their 3 week old daughter, my first grandchild!
No sooner had we visited a while I had to leave to pick up my nephew from school and stay with him for a couple of hours until his father arrives home from work. His mom is on a 2 week vacation in Guatemala, a trip that she delayed for two years.
Anyway my nephew is very smart but he is also a gaming enthusiast so as I write a few notes, he’s online with his games, at least until his father gets home (I suspect they’ll do something together).

::@brandonirizarry: Thank you for your information.
I’m very interested in hearing more about “emacs inxi” as your shell. May I assume that you are running Emacs and ran the Emacs shell, then ran inxi?
In my career I would often handle a lot of what I did straight from Emacs. Though I don’t use it anywhere near as often now, I still check it out occasionally.
This is one of the most interesting updates I’ve read recently.
