Using a single-core Intel Atom netbook, I’ve installed antix from antiX-19_386-core.iso, and have added an LXDE desktop. I need to download & install printer drivers to recognise an attached USB printer (Epson Stylus Photo R285), and then download & install the relevant drivers & libraries. To save precious time experimenting with different files that might/might not be needed, could someone tell me if the following would be enough to get the printer up-and-running, or if I need other files, or just different ones from those listed below?
system-config-printer
system-config-printer-common
system-config-printer-udev
cups
printer-driver-gutenprint
cups-pdf
printer-driver-cups-pdfMany thanks for any feedback on this – any help is much appreciated.

printer-driver-escprMany thank caprea.
Presumably, I’ll need to install this in addition to the files I listed above, or does it replace some of these?- This reply was modified 3 years, 4 months ago by mikey777.
