I would like to change some default apps and the Icewm Control center does not even see the apps I need. I tried to edit but the files are well protected against accidental edits. I can force things, but maybe the devs meant things should be done differently.
what is the best way to setup default apps?
Thank everybody.

I answered in the other post (Control Centre > Desktop > Preferred Applications).

General Live Boot Parameters for antiX.
Just to be complete you may also want to edit ~/.config mimeapps list depending on alternative applications you are
installing/removing/changing/using.
~/.local/share/desktop-defaults are links to /usr/share/applications/your choice of application
You can also copy all the starters from /usr/share/applications to ~/.local/share/applications and
link defaults to there. You are not limited to 8 default applications as in controll center.
As its linux, very Flexible.
