I absolutely love asking people what music they listen to
I always try to listen and enjoy it and I wondered if you would like to get a rolling thread
going where you regularly update people on what you are listening to and have a general discussion about musicRight now I’m listening to this
I’ve never heard a bad stream from these people and of a Friday night
theres nothing better for me than having a glass or two of wine
and listening to some minimal techno. I also play this when I need
deep concentration while on my computer. The problem with uzic, and I mean this, for
me, is that their sounds are totally addictive and I often just
cant get away from my computer till 5am because I love what they play
but then I absolutely love minimalism
the stream for uzic.ch
http://www.uzic.ch/tek.m3uIf I’m not listening to minimal techno I guess for me its rock and pop
the sleaford mods. A very British band talking about very British politics and social
life. I absolutely LOVE this track.

Lately smooth jazz (on pmrp), or else it’s 70’s & 80’s US pop music — I like to “croak” along with the music while I’m cooking dinner. (I only know the words to old songs like those).

Please give an example of your all-time favourite music
and what you are listening to now
I really got into rock and pop when I was younger but also
just couldn’t resist the rave scene but my tastes are eclectic- This reply was modified 1 year, 2 months ago by nugget.

It is 50 years ago since the words for this song were written, maybe the world has changed and, here is a recent version recorded for War child ? :

and ANTIX from New ZealandOMG, welcome to my playlist!!! Thank you Anticapitalista!
Depending on circumstances, there are a few rather different ones (Apparently I cannot embed more than one):
– recently discovered: BlackCoffee, kinda melodic/rhythmic techno, one example, slightly over one hour:
– Gramatik – Just Jammin’ (1h):
– Sometime it needs to be SPEEDY, then some Electro Swing is required – one short example, Alice Francis – Shoot Him Down (Milk And Sugar Radio Version):

WardrunaThis is Nordic Pagan. Spiritual.
Nothing to do with Nazi Scum who sometimes try to defile the old ways.

I was pointed to Heilung several times and resisted because I feared it might be some Nazi-related stuff. Then I stumbled upon an excerpt of a concert, focusing on Maria Franz’ voice. So I “risked” it – and was relieved to find it being the opposite of what I feared:
“Remember that we all are brothers.
All people!
And beasts and trees!
And storm and wind!
…” – these words are said or shouted at the beginning of “Lifa”: https://www.youtube.com/embed/h1BsKIP4uYMEdit: But truth to be told, now I listen to Eivør Pálsdóttir – Tròdlabùndin (Spellbound): https://www.youtube.com/embed/wsl-KHGe4Kk
And that’s something I would have a really hard time to describe.
