How can I see which are blocked and is there a way I can “whitelist” ones with an expression of some kind put somewhere so they stay whitelisted?
They seem to be blocked no matter what browser, but they work from my phone on the same WiFi.
Part of the problem is that I look at the hosts file and can see a big list, but I can’t tell which one is the one causing me problems at that site.
Ok, this is dumb, but I was looking for the reviews and tweaks for a recipe for peanut butter cookies. I can see the recipe, but not the reviews or tweaks, even if I am logged into that site…

PS: I looked at the source for that page and the link is actually to a place on that same page. I am wondering if it’s a .js issue not site issue…
Thanks…

::A different one… I try to use Google shopping from a search…
Yes, I know some people despise google and probably for good reasons, but I am just trying to order some cherry juice…So how can I make that allowed? Or if not, suggest a different, better way to search and shop, please. I’m always willing to try new things…

::Maybe the advert-block script is blocking what you want to see.
You can turn it off via the control centre under NetworkPhilosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::I can say nothing about the first link, because of this:
This site is not available in your country
As regards the second link, it’s really advert-block that blocks it. Turning it off, allowed SeaMonkey to show the page.
For me, that I use uBlock within my PaleMoon Browser, no need to turn off advert-block.I have just to choose the “Temporarily” or “Permanently” button:uBlock Origin has prevented the following page from loading:
Because of the following filter
googleadservices.comFound in: Peter Lowe’s Ad and tracking server list
Go Back
Disable strict blocking for
Temporarily Permanently
But I think the best solution is fresh cherries 😀

::OK., this is my maybe complicated or wrong way to whitelist one speficic side.
If a side doesn’t open, because of the advert-block script, it will allways show me something like
eg
“Unable to connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at http://www.googleadservices.com.”Then I know it’s googleadservices.com
Opening geany with gksudo geany and using the search function, search in files
Search for: googleadservices.com
Folder : /etc
Clicking on search
Down in geany under notifications there are here now 4 rows which contain googleadservices.com
If you click on each of them the host file will be shown in geany with yellow arrow for the line you are seeking, and you can comment them out with #
Close and save. After reopening the browser I can open the side. This at least works here until I don’t use any additional blocker.

::All good info and both problems solved without getting buried in ads…
I went to control panel network, adblock and then selected UNBLOCK which seemed to turn it off, and both worked but I got buried in unwanted ads. Then I went back in and selected at random adservers, and now both still work without a crazy amount of ads.
BTW, I didn’t know about all that and was trying without much success to comment things out of hosts.
Thanks all…
PS: sorry, but I don’t have the option to change the topic to SOLVED
