      When i try these commands:

      cd /media/sr0
I’m trying as a normal user and as root

      Nothing happens.

cd is a command used to navigate to a folder in the terminal.
In the first line of the terminal you see your current “location”
        in7@antix1:~
        ~ represents your home folder
when you use cd to navigate to /media/sr0, then that becomes your current location:

        cd /media/sr0
in7@antix1:/media/sr0 <-- current location has changed to /media/sr0

You can confirm that you are in that folder with ls (this commands lists all non hidden files and folders in that location
        ls
If you want to run one of the files, you can call it’s name in the terminal:
        VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
If you start writing and hit the “Tab” key, it will autocomplete a bit of the file name.

If using SpaceFM, you can also drag the file to the terminal and it will “paste” the full path to the file (you just need to hit Eneter to execute it).

Rox and SpaceFM are two different file manager programs.

The Rox file manager is the basic one included in all but the most minimal configuration.

From root or putting sudo in front of each command,

            apt-get update
            apt-get install — reinstall SpaceFM

The –reinstall (two dashes) will make sure that the software is installed and can reinstall it even if it is already installed.

No harm in performing this exercise and it gives you an example of how to update and install a software package.

I often use spaceFM with root privileges by typing at my default prompt, in a terminal:

[three commands, one after the other]
[<cr> means hit the “Enter” key]

              su <cr>
              password <cr>
              spacefm <cr>

this opens spaceFM so I can get at files and folders that have permissions set for root.

There is also a Root Terminal menu item, after which you can type “spacefm <cr>” to launch the spaceFM file manager.

SpaceFM is also on the menu (check the System or Preferrences menus) but it often won’t let you move files as the normal user. That’s why I launch it as SuperUser.

Be aware that running a file manager as SuperUser (root privileges, SU) can be destructive. Be careful and deliberate.

Install/update your virtualbox to v6 in your mint system and see if everything works. Your “guest systems” are files in some forlder you (or VB) has chosen.
