      Hello!

I was searching for an Oxygen Blue cursor.

I tried to install one, but it seems like it had some invalid information, and a different cursor appeared (black with white outline, and pixelated) instead of the one that I was supposed to get.

Trying to uninstall it would cause the theme manager to crash, and not remove the cursor.

After a reinstall, I will not try to do that again. Instead, I would like to ask where can I get this cursor theme specifically made for an antiX 19.2 fresh install, as in, didn’t ever update no apps after installing.

In case I have Internet back instead of mobile data, I would like to know if that same cursor theme I’m asking for would be compatible with the system even if I update the packages.

      Thanks!

I don’t know if it is blue, but:

        $ apt search "oxygen cursor"
        Sorting... Done
        Full Text Search... Done
        oxygencursors/stable,stable 0.0.2012-06-kde4.8-2.1 all
          Oxygen mouse cursor theme

Synaptic should also tel you about this if you get to connect t the net.

        For a blue cursor, here:

Download, move to your computer (using USB or other), extract as root to /usr/share/icons, launch LX appearance, it should pop up there (alternatively, LX Appearance will let you install the cursor automatically if you use a .tar.gz file from inside LX Appearance).

After multiple tries, I couldn’t install the cursors via apt.
          It gives me these errors.

O.K. I tried to install the cursor by using LX Appearance. It didn’t work, with the problem described at the post. Then I moved the cursor into /usr/share/icons/<folder>. It works, but now LX Appearance doesn’t want to uninstall it. And if I move out the folder of the cursor theme, its name is still there, but as if I had the problem described at the post, where, again, it doesn’t let me uninstall it, because if I click “Uninstall”, it just crashes and does nothing.

            How do I delete it?

Tried to use the cursor theme, but it appears as if it was broken (the PIXELATED BLACK MOUSE). Applying, then logging off and on doesn’t work. Restarting JWM after applying doesn’t work, but it alternates from the actual Oxygen cursor to the default cursor when it wants to (for example, when I move my mouse between the SpaceFM desktop and the JWM task manager, or when I move my mouse between an ungoogled-chromium window and the JWM task manager).

The same way you Install it. But you FIRST need to change to a different cursor theme (and apply changes) to avoid problems. Then CLOSE LX Appearance.
                Manually:
                1. In spacefm (as root), navigate to /usr/share/icons/
                2. Select the Oxygen cursor folder
                3. Delete with Del (Suprimir) key or rightclick- Delete
NExt time you open LX Appearance the cursor theme should no longer be there.

Alternatively, in case you don’t want to use root spacefm and want to easily add/delete icon themes (cursor or for all the system), manually move the icon themes to /home/JJ1013/.local/share/icons (or create this folder if it doesn’t exist). All icon themes added there should appear in LX appearance (close and open if not there). This way you will not have to hope automatic install/uninstall will work, and you can control what themes you want without having to launch anything as root.

I just tested and manually installed the Blue Oxygen cursor theme I linked above. I have it working right now (had to close all other apps running to get them to use the correct cursor).
