::The driver I installed on the laptop is installed with the installer (ddm-mx) from the control-centre.
Is this an oversight ? Above you described it, is the other way around.January 26, 2022 at 12:16 am #76105Memberblackwood
::Did you have to do anything else other than just following the installer script and rebooting?

I was getting about the same on my nVidia 340. I think the problem is not so much kernel but rather X instead. The new X server version does not support nVidia 340 the way I understand.

::Just looked at your inxi output in your first post and it appears to me your Xorg version is 1.20.
So theoretically it might be possible for nVidia to work after all. I am trying to search some recent posts from this forum providing more info. I remember I have seen some explanations from antiX experts…Update:
Post #71373 in this forum refers to an info on successful installation of nVidia 340 on MX21, so antiX 21 should also work. Just a matter to figure this out.- This reply was modified 1 year, 3 months ago by olsztyn.

::Congrats!
Is this fix for EFI only or also for legacy MBR machines?
And which kernel did you use?- This reply was modified 1 year, 3 months ago by olsztyn.

::Very nice you found a fix for your macbook and posted it here. I totally forgot that macbooks sometimes need additional configurations.

::caprea,
Your inxi output states:
“OpenGL: ”ie nothing. Thats interesting because I have the same issue with the legacy Nvidia driver. The graphics card should be capable of OpenGL, right? So I’m thinking maybe the drivers are not installed properly.

::I have the same in inxi but in the nvidia x server settings it shows settings for opengl as if it’s working…
