In October, 2018, I installed antiX 17_386 on my Dell Latitude D 600 laptop. At the time, the 4.10.5 kernel was in use. Today, I thought that it would be better to have he 4.9.148 kernal because it has been patched. The new kernel is working fine, but the computer still defaults to the 4.10.5 kernal so I have to manually select the 4.9.148 kernel each time that I boot.
Two questions:
Is it best to use the 4.9.148 kernel?
Is it possible to get it to default to the 4.9.148 on booting or do I just need to remove 4.10.5 kernel?Below is inxi -F:

::Just remove the 4.10.5 kernel and headers.
If you do this via synaptic, to be on the safe side after removal open a root terminal and type
update-grubbefore rebooting.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
