      Hi guys,

I had originally posted on using AntiX 19.1 on my Gateway (Acer) LT22 w/2GB RAM a screen resolution of 1024×600 and really, really wanting it to work but was stumped by the “Wifi hardware switch off” error on my USB boot device.

I recently d/led v19.2 full and tried again but again received the same error, however, this time I had some notes from my searches through this forum on the problem and was able to get the wifi going with the following set of actions:
      1) R-click the network icon on the system tray, disable eth0 and enable wifi
      2) L-click the network icon on the system tray, disable eth0 and enable wifi in the connman GUI
      3) Open a terminal and run the following command:
      sudo service connman restart

At this point I again L-clicked the network icon and in the Wireless tab of connman saw that there were local APs to access. Success!! (While not knowing which action caused the success or why.)

But… When I tried to connect to an AP, I could not see the WPA password section of the GUI nor could I re-size it to get it into view. I tried the usual Alt-O and Shift-tab to back up one or two items hopefully to the right box but no go. I also looked around for pictures of the GUI so that I might be able to move around on it to no avail.

      Help?

      Thanks in advance!!

Control Centre > Network > Wifi Connect (Connman)
Wireless tab > Select AP > Connect
        Enter passfrase > OK

        See screenshot if needed

If you cannot see it, then right-click on the “Agent” entry in the toolbar and maximize.
If using more than one monitor, make sure it isn’t in the other screen
If using more than one workspace, check the other ones.

No problem for me in fluxbox antix 19 full
